Jiangnan University will deeply integrate Wuxi's industry, the market in the Yangtze River Delta, and the manufacturing and marketing advantages of Taiwanese companies, and use the "government + university + research institute + industry" model to empower the construction of the Food Silicon Valley of the Taihu Bay Science and Technology Innovation Belt, and strive to create a "Cross-Strait Food Industry High-Quality Development Demonstration Park".

The Board of Directors of the School of Food Science and Engineering of Jiangnan University was established in 2000.
