Electroplating sludge mainly comes from solid waste generated by liquid phase chemical treatment of various electroplating waste liquids and electrolytic cell liquids in industrial electroplating plants. Due to the different production processes and treatment processes of various electroplating manufacturers, the chemical composition of electroplating sludge is quite complex, mainly containing heavy metal compounds and soluble salts such as chromium, iron, nickel, copper, zinc, etc. According to our field investigation, the water content of electroplating sludge produced by new treatment is generally very high, reaching 75% to 80%, the content of chromium, iron, nickel, copper and zinc compounds is generally around 0.5% to 3% (in terms of oxides), the content of gypsum (calcium sulfate) is 8% to 10%, and the content of other water-soluble salts and impurities is about 5%. If it is discharged directly without treatment, it will cause great harm to the environment. According to the above parameters provided by the customer, our company designed and customized Zhiheng electroplating sludge special hollow paddle dryer for it. The working principle of the equipment is as follows: wedge-shaped hollow paddles are densely arranged on the hollow shaft, and the heat medium heat transfer oil flows through the paddles through the hollow shaft, and the heat transfer area per unit effective volume is large. The heat transfer medium flows through the shell jacket and hollow stirring shaft through the rotary joint. The hollow stirring shaft has different internal structures according to the type of heat medium to ensure the best heat transfer effect. While the paddle and jacket are heated by the heat medium, the upper part of the discharge port is dehumidified at the same time, which greatly increases the drying strength of the equipment. The evaporated water is taken out of the dryer by the dehumidifying fan.


Equipment characteristics:
1. The paddle dryer has low energy consumption: due to indirect heating, there is no large amount of air to carry away heat, and the outer wall of the dryer is provided with an insulation layer. For slurry materials, only 1.2kg of water vapor is required to evaporate 1kg of water.
2. The paddle dryer system has low cost: it has a huge heat transfer surface per unit effective volume, which shortens the processing time and reduces the size of the equipment. It greatly reduces the building area and building space.
3. A wide range of materials to be processed: using different heat media, it can process both heat-sensitive materials and materials that require high-temperature treatment. Common media are: water vapor, heat transfer oil, hot water, cooling water, etc.
4. It can be operated both continuously and intermittently, and can be applied in many fields.
5. Low environmental pollution: no air is used, and dust material is rarely entrained. The evaporation of material solvent is very small, which is easy to handle. For contaminated materials or working conditions where solvents need to be recovered, closed-loop circulation can be used.
6. Low operating cost: The equipment operates normally without the need for special personnel on duty. Low-speed stirring and reasonable structure. Small wear and tear, very low maintenance costs.
7. Stable operation: Due to the special compression-expansion stirring effect of the wedge-shaped blade, the material particles are fully in contact with the heat transfer surface. In the axial range, the temperature, humidity, and mixing gradient of the material are very small, thus ensuring the stability of the process.
